COOKIE POLICY

Last updated May 11, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how PAX Digitalis LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), doing business as NoStringsPDF, uses cookies and similar technologies on NoStringsPDF (the "Services").

This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes our overall data practices.

Summary

NoStringsPDF uses only the cookies strictly necessary to provide the Services (such as keeping you logged in). We do NOT use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, behavioral profiling cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. Because our cookie usage is minimal and essential, no cookie consent banner is required under most privacy laws.

1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit. They allow the website to recognize your device, remember information about your visit (such as your login state), and operate properly.

Cookies can be:

We also use similar technologies that work like cookies, such as local storage and session storage, primarily for authentication and session management.

2. COOKIES WE USE

NoStringsPDF uses only strictly necessary cookies. These are essential for the Services to function and cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality (such as the ability to log in).

Strictly Necessary Cookies

Cookie / TechnologyProviderPurposeDuration
Supabase auth tokens (access & refresh tokens) Supabase (first-party use) Maintain your logged-in session so you don't have to re-enter your password on every action Session / up to 7 days for refresh
__cf_bm, cf_clearance, and similar Cloudflare cookies Cloudflare Bot management, DDoS protection, and security. Helps distinguish humans from automated traffic. 30 minutes to 30 days

Stripe checkout session cookies Stripe Used only during the active checkout flow to complete a payment you have initiated. Set only when you proceed to upgrade to Pro. Session (cleared after checkout)

3. COOKIES WE DO NOT USE

To support our privacy-first approach, we do NOT use:

4. ANALYTICS

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns of our Services. This solution is fundamentally different from typical web analytics tools:

Because Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookie-free, it is not listed in the cookie tables above.

5. WHY WE DON'T DISPLAY A COOKIE CONSENT BANNER

You may have noticed that NoStringsPDF does not display a cookie consent banner. This is intentional and lawful.

Cookie consent banners are generally required under the EU ePrivacy Directive and the GDPR for cookies that are not strictly necessary — primarily advertising, tracking, and non-essential analytics cookies. Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, consent for cookie placement is not legally required.

If we ever begin using non-essential cookies (which we have no plans to do), we will implement a compliant consent mechanism before doing so.

6. HOW TO MANAGE COOKIES

Although we only use strictly necessary cookies, you can manage cookies through your browser settings:

Important: If you block or delete the strictly necessary cookies used by NoStringsPDF, you will not be able to log in or use the Services. The cookies are not optional for the Services to function.

Privacy-Focused Browsers and Extensions

Privacy-focused browsers (such as Brave or Firefox in strict privacy mode) and browser extensions (such as uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger) typically allow NoStringsPDF to function normally because we use only essential cookies. You will not need to whitelist or make exceptions for our Services.

7. DO-NOT-TRACK AND GLOBAL PRIVACY CONTROL

Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" (DNT) and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals to indicate a preference against tracking. Because we do not engage in the tracking practices these signals are designed to opt users out of (cross-site tracking, behavioral advertising, data sale), the signals have no additional effect on our Services.

The privacy protections DNT and GPC are designed to invoke already apply to all NoStringsPDF users by default.

8. THIRD-PARTY COOKIES FROM OUR SERVICE PROVIDERS

A small number of cookies on NoStringsPDF are set by our service providers as part of their operation:

These cookies are essential to the Services. They are not used by the providers for advertising or cross-site tracking related to NoStringsPDF users.

9. UPDATES TO THIS COOKIE POLICY

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. When we make material changes, we will:

Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Cookie Policy.
